Home Spa: How to Nail the Perfect Dog Shower

Who says bath time has to be chaos? With a little prep (and a lot of love), you can turn your dog’s home shower into a mini spa day they’ll actually look forward to.

1. Prep your station.Grab the essentials — shampoo, brush, towel, and plenty of treats. Keep them within paw’s reach so you don’t have to chase a wet pup mid-bubble.

2. Go lukewarm. Hot water is a no-go for furry skin. Lukewarm water is your sweet spot — just cozy enough to wash away dirt without drying their coat.

3. Massage, don’t scrub.Use your fingers (or a shower brush) to gently massage shampoo into the coat. It’s like a spa massage — and helps lift dirt from the skin. Plus, your dog might just melt with joy.

4. Rinse. Rinse. Rinse.Leftover shampoo can cause itchiness — so rinse until the water runs clear, and then one more time for good measure.

5. Dry like a pro.Towel dry first, then let your dog shake it out. (Bonus: they’ll do half the work for you.) For fluffier coats, finish with a quick, low-heat blow dry.

Bath time doesn’t have to be a wrestling match — with the right routine, it’s bonding time, laughter, and a whole lot of wagging.

Stay playful. Stay clean. Stay Swaggy.
